EFKO Group created dairy business in 2015 and by the end of 2017 the company started to produce A2 milk under Sloboda brand.

Entrance to this market was mainly a result of work of scientists of the Innovation Center «Biruch-NT», who managed to develop technologies of genetic testing and selection of cows that produce only A2 beta-casein and hypo-allergic milk. A2 milk is natural cow milk received from specially selected animals which specific feature is presence in milk protein of A2 beta-casein and absence of A1 beta-casein. A2 beta-casein is more natural for human organism type of milk protein and similar to human milk while consumption of A1 beta-casein can cause in people with sensitivity to dairy products discomfort in stomach and other negative effects for human digestive system.

Previously all cows produced «original milk protein» but a thousand years of selection and domestication leaded to appearance and expansion of cows that produce A1 protein or mixture of A1 and A2 beta-caseins, therefore all over the world a trend on consumption of hypo-allergic milk with correct protein is growing intensively. 

A2 milk is already very popular among people in New Zealand, Australia, the USA and other countries. In Russia this market is just arising.
