EFKO's workshop in Anapa gathers confectioners in June

On 6–8 June 2012, EFKO staged the Confectionery Market Trends: Safety, Innovations, Economy workshop for the confectionery industry. The workshop involved 38 companies, 5 major research institutes, both national and international (Confectionery State Research Institute, Union of Food Ingredient Producers, Moscow State


University of Food Production, Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies, and German Institute of Food Technologies), the Coach Institute, food ingredient and equipment producers, related service providers, and mass media.

The research workshop annually inviting industry experts had turned into an international conference, this time visited by representative of 9 countries – Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Germany, Belgium, USA, Finland and Denmark.

The event covered the following topics:

  • industry regulation status
  • confectionery ingredients and equipment
  • overview of the Russian confectionery product and confectionery specialized fat markets
  • innovations in specialized confectionery fat development
  • advanced methods of confectionery quality assessment, etc.



The workshop programme included a visit to the production site of Pishchevye Ingrediyenty LLC (EFKO Food Ingredients) in the Taman sea port, and a tour of the Ataman ethnographic museum.
