EFKO Group and VTB Group signed an agreement on development of infrastructure in Taman seaport

21 November 2019, Krasnodar, Russia – EFKO Group and VTB Group signed an agreement of intent on a joint development and exploitation of infrastructural objects in Taman seaport. The signing took place within the XI Annual Investional Forum VTB Capital «RUSSIA CALLS!».

_MG_9897.JPGThe agreement includes creation and further exploitation of objects of the infrastructure for transshipment of grain and meal under 10 mln tn and 3 mln tn of oils in Taman seaport in the Russian Federation.

Evgeny Lyashenko, CEO of EFKO Group commented: «Today EFKO has managed to occupy strong position among the largest Russian exporters of non-resource products. Mainly, it is thanks to the correct strategy on creation of our own port infrastructure. We are not going to stop and intend to increase export volumes. In the medium term we plan to enter new markets. Already today we start to work actively in Middle East and North African directions within the strategic agreement with Egyptian partners. It means that logistic capacities of the company must correspond to our long-term plans. I am sure that our partnership with VTB bank on building of the sea terminal will provide increase of volumes of export of grain, vegetable oils and meal that is necessary to solve tasks assigned in the Decree of the President on increase of export of products of agro-industrial complex. We understand that to achieve target indicators of the federal project «Export of agro-industrial complex», where export of Fat&Oil products is under special attention, it is necessary to increase export of vegetable oils by 2024 by 9 mln tn per year, meal and oilcake by 7 mln tn per year. Realization our project will be one of the key drivers that provide solving of these tasks».
